The "P" sound

Emmaline has trouble saying the P sound. She says the T sound instead. At first we really didn't notice it because she didn't speak too much. Now that she talks nonstop, we definitely notice!  She says TaTaw instead of PaPaw, for my Dad. It is quite hilarious. My Dad said he wished she was the first born grandchild, so he could be called TaTaw by all. He said it is much better than Papaw! (and funnier too)  Now that she is potty trained she is constantly saying, "I need to go teetee" or "I need to go tootoo!"  It is really really funny. I try and try to get her to say P-P-P-P, and she gives it all she's got and still says T-T-T-T. So I will keep working on it with her, while I silently laugh hysterically inside, as she runs to the "totty" screaming "I need to go tootoo!!!!!!!"

Baseball!!

Baseball season has started around here, and Hayden couldn't be happier. He hasn't played any sports since we moved here in October, so I think he was having sports withdrawals. He is on a good little team, with great coaches and players. They are the Angels. I signed up to be "Team Mom" so I have been a little busy with baseball stuff too. The girls of course love baseball season too, because they get to run around the fields and climb fences.

Bittersweet...

Since November Emmaline has been wearing pull-ups and going #2 in the potty. (only 1 accident in 4 months!! If you have kids then you know how huge that is!) She didn't quite have the hang of going #1, so I haven't pushed it. She wanted to wear panties on Monday, so I said sure why not! She only had 2 accidents the first 2 days, and no accidents since. She even goes on her own without me saying every 15 minutes..."Do you need to go potty?"  So I guess she is officially potty trained! This makes me happy because no more pull-ups, but said because it means my youngest little baby is growing up. I am so glad to see her grow but wish she would just slow down a little bit! HA! She definitely talks more than the other 2 did at this age. She doesn't just say sentences, she will say paragraphs! I guess she has learned a lot from her big brother and sister. She is still a wild child who loves to scream! I wish she would grow out of that stage, like yesterday!!!

She loves to pick out her own outfit!

Truthful Tuesday

All of things Abigail says are pretty funny, BUT this one takes the cake. It came from my Mom, so I didn't witness her saying this, but I can only imagine the look and tone she gave my mother.

We went to my parents house the other day to fix the tire on our boat trailer. We were not staying long because we had to get back to Spanish Fort to get Hayden from school. The girls went inside anyways to visit while I helped Sean fix something on the boat. This is how it went when Abigail got inside.

Abigail:    MaMaw will you turn on NickJR?
MaMaw: No, I don't think yall are staying very long.
Abigail:    MaMaw just say yes mam and do it
MaMaw:  Yes Mam

I guess Abigail has heard that line a time or two....

Mardi Gras Parades

We went to so many parades during Mardi Gras, that I would say we were close to being professionals by the end of the parade season. We just lack ladders with seats on top for our kids to sit in, but Brian and I are  working on that for next year!!

Truthful Tuesday

Oh my dear little Abigail. She never ceases to amaze me in the things she says. She knows no stranger, and will literally talk your head off! But I love her to pieces and she makes me laugh daily.

Abigail:  "Daddy is super duper crazy!"
Me:  "Why?"
A: "Cause he loves me!"

I tend to make things rhyme when I talk to the kids. Just to joke around and have fun with them, but leave it to Abigail to say something about my rhyming.

Me: "Put it back, Jack!"
A:  "JACK???? I am not Jack, I am a lady! My voice is like a lady and my name is Princess."
