The "P" sound

Emmaline has trouble saying the P sound. She says the T sound instead. At first we really didn't notice it because she didn't speak too much. Now that she talks nonstop, we definitely notice!  She says TaTaw instead of PaPaw, for my Dad. It is quite hilarious. My Dad said he wished she was the first born grandchild, so he could be called TaTaw by all. He said it is much better than Papaw! (and funnier too)  Now that she is potty trained she is constantly saying, "I need to go teetee" or "I need to go tootoo!"  It is really really funny. I try and try to get her to say P-P-P-P, and she gives it all she's got and still says T-T-T-T. So I will keep working on it with her, while I silently laugh hysterically inside, as she runs to the "totty" screaming "I need to go tootoo!!!!!!!"

Baseball!!

Baseball season has started around here, and Hayden couldn't be happier. He hasn't played any sports since we moved here in October, so I think he was having sports withdrawals. He is on a good little team, with great coaches and players. They are the Angels. I signed up to be "Team Mom" so I have been a little busy with baseball stuff too. The girls of course love baseball season too, because they get to run around the fields and climb fences.

Bittersweet...

Since November Emmaline has been wearing pull-ups and going #2 in the potty. (only 1 accident in 4 months!! If you have kids then you know how huge that is!) She didn't quite have the hang of going #1, so I haven't pushed it. She wanted to wear panties on Monday, so I said sure why not! She only had 2 accidents the first 2 days, and no accidents since. She even goes on her own without me saying every 15 minutes..."Do you need to go potty?"  So I guess she is officially potty trained! This makes me happy because no more pull-ups, but said because it means my youngest little baby is growing up. I am so glad to see her grow but wish she would just slow down a little bit! HA! She definitely talks more than the other 2 did at this age. She doesn't just say sentences, she will say paragraphs! I guess she has learned a lot from her big brother and sister. She is still a wild child who loves to scream! I wish she would grow out of that stage, like yesterday!!!

She loves to pick out her own outfit!

Truthful Tuesday

All of things Abigail says are pretty funny, BUT this one takes the cake. It came from my Mom, so I didn't witness her saying this, but I can only imagine the look and tone she gave my mother.

We went to my parents house the other day to fix the tire on our boat trailer. We were not staying long because we had to get back to Spanish Fort to get Hayden from school. The girls went inside anyways to visit while I helped Sean fix something on the boat. This is how it went when Abigail got inside.

Abigail:    MaMaw will you turn on NickJR?
MaMaw: No, I don't think yall are staying very long.
Abigail:    MaMaw just say yes mam and do it
MaMaw:  Yes Mam

I guess Abigail has heard that line a time or two....

Mardi Gras Parades

We went to so many parades during Mardi Gras, that I would say we were close to being professionals by the end of the parade season. We just lack ladders with seats on top for our kids to sit in, but Brian and I are  working on that for next year!!

Truthful Tuesday

Oh my dear little Abigail. She never ceases to amaze me in the things she says. She knows no stranger, and will literally talk your head off! But I love her to pieces and she makes me laugh daily.

Abigail:  "Daddy is super duper crazy!"
Me:  "Why?"
A: "Cause he loves me!"

I tend to make things rhyme when I talk to the kids. Just to joke around and have fun with them, but leave it to Abigail to say something about my rhyming.

Me: "Put it back, Jack!"
A:  "JACK???? I am not Jack, I am a lady! My voice is like a lady and my name is Princess."

7 YEARS OLD!!!

Hayden turned 7 on February 17th, and we still cannot believe it. I can't believe how fast he has grown up. He is such a little gentleman. I could not ask for a better son and first born. He is so kind to his sisters and to others. He plays so nice with the girls and is always there to help them and me. I am so so proud to be his mother!! I just wish he would stop growing so fast!

Family Visit!

Jason, Lisa, and the girls came for a visit a couple weeks ago. Blayne was turning 14, and wanted to spend her birthday weekend at the beach! So we had lots of fun hanging with them all weekend. Friday night we went to Lambert's, per Blayne's request. Saturday we went to Lulu's. Sunday we had a big crab, crawfish, shrimp boil!!  It was a great weekend, and we enjoyed spending time with them. Can't wait til they come back again!!

She was beyond embarrassed when we sang to her @ Lambert's!

It was vow renewal day at Lulu's, so it was a perfect photo opportunity !

Mother-daughter hula hoop contest...Blayne won!!

Crawfish!!!!

Sean...and Hayden.....and now Abigail, have a slight obsession with crawfish. Now that we live on the coast their obsession can easily be fulfilled. We have already had a table full of crawfish a few times, and it is only February. many many more crawfish feasts to come!!!

Truthful Tuesday

I took Hayden to the doctor last week when he wasn't feeling well. The doctor was asking him what all hurt, and when she got to "Does your head hurt?"  He said, "Yes, because my sisters always scream"    Ha!  (and yes they do...mostly Emmaline)

waiting for the doctor....

Best Friends Best Sisters

Abigail and Emmaline play well together for the most part. I love watching them play dress-up, house, anything really. They can be really sweet to each other. I know one day they will not be the best of friends, when they are in middle school, and fighting over clothes, the bathroom, and boys. BUT I know when they get older and past all that mess, they will be best friends again. Just like my sisters and I are today.

They slid together every time

Truthful Tuesday

Abigail says to the Hostess at the restaurant (who has really short hair and wearing slightly boyish clothes)                                          "Are you a boy or a girl??"

Then to the cashier at Wal-Mart..."Why do you have gold in your teeth?"
Cashier: "Because when I was little like you, I ate too much candy"
Abigail:  "You should go to the dentist."

and finally to EVERY single person that asks Abigail her name...."My Daddy calls me Princess"

Fun with cousins!

Lacy, Trey, and their kiddos came to visit his family in Richton, MS a couple of weeks ago. It is only about 2 hours away, so we drove over to see them. The kids played outside all day. They had a blast. It was so good to see them. The kids have missed each other so much.

Truthful Tuesday

Well we all know that kids are painfully honest, and do not have filter on things they say. Abigail is especially honest. She says so many painfully honest things on a daily basis. So I have decided to start dedicating a day of the week to the crazy things that she says. My other kids might appear on the weekly Truthful Tuesday, but I am sure the majority of things will come from my dear sweet Abigail!!

Here are just a few things she has said lately...

Me: What are you doing?
A: I had to get a booger out of my nose.
Me: Did you just wipe it on the table??!!
A:  Yes, but at least I didn't eat it.

I was picking up her toys one night in her room, and she said, "Let's play the game where you pick up all the toys"

At the bank the other day, she said to the very nice lady helping us, "You look like a Grandma"

At Sams, she pointed to a women and said, "She has a baby in her belly"
AND SHE CLEARLY DID NOT. I was sooooo embarrassed. I just acted like I didn't hear her, and kept walking!! I am horrible, I know!

She loves lipstick!!

New Years Day

We went to LuLu's for their New Year's Noon beach ball drop. It was so fun. My brother and his family made a pit stop in Gulf Shores while on their way back from Disney world. So we all got to hang out that morning at LuLu's. My Mom, Leigh, Melissa, and Jennifer also came, so it was a big morning of fun for all! The boys played together the whole time. We hardly saw them! The girls played in the sand and got their faces painted. At noon they dropped 350 beach balls, so I was grabbing balls and passing them to Jennifer and Leigh as fast as I could to make sure we got enough balls for all our kiddos. Little did I know, Ian (Brandon's son) was on the other side of the drop, and he also was getting as many as he could. He came back to us holding as many balls as he could! So needless to say we had plenty of beach balls to go around!! It was pretty funny.

New Camera

Sean got me a new camera for Christmas along with a few other awesome things...and the camera is AMAZING! The pics that it takes are so good and clear. I just love it! I take pictures of the kids nonstop now. They are okay with it for now, but I am sure it will start getting old really soon!

Christmas Time

Christmas this year was great, as always. The kids got everything they "really" wanted, and said, like they do every year, "this is the best Christmas ever!"  That is always a great feeling to hear your kids say that, and make that special day so magical for them. I am so grateful that we are able to make our kids eyes light up every year on Christmas morning. We are a very blessed little family, and I am forever thankful for that! I hope your Christmas was great too! I am excited about 2013, and can't wait to see what the next year holds for us! Happy New Year!!
